The DMV requires that you bring: Certificate of Completion for Driver's Education (DL-400C); original birth certificate, certified copy, or valid passport; Social Security number; Application for Driver's License Form DL44 signed by both parents.
Your teen must be 15½ years old to qualify for the Provisional CA Learner's Permit.
Your teen may take the course at 14 years and 9 months.

This course will expire 12 months from the purchase date.
After successful completion of the online driver's education course, we will mail you the certificate of completion (DL-400C) to the address on record. Although we issue the certificate the next business day, it can take up to 7 business days to receive it in the mail. Alternately, you may inform us that you wish to will-call the certificate at our office. So long as the certificate has not already been mailed out, we can accommodate that request.
Yes. This course has been fully reviewed and accepted by the California DMV.
